Research shows that developing leadership skills among youth and teaching young people to become innovators can positively impact Canada’s social and economic development in numerous of ways. Many organizations across the country are experiencing success in developing youth leadership and innovation through programs, fellowships, mentorship, and coaching, but often they’re limited in capacity.

We see an opportunity to work together to collectively strengthen our capacity to develop young leaders and innovators on a national scale. We believe that engaging more young leaders will dramatically strengthen Canada’s economic and social prosperity for the long term. Developing a National Youth Leadership and Innovation strategy is the first step.
